Elizabeth Taylor, Jennifer Lopez, Jaqueline Bissett, Grace Kelly, the Lexus LC 500. What do these have in common? All are timeless beauties. Feel free to put together your own list of the ladies, but when it comes to cars, few would argue that this Lexus isn’t one of the most beautiful and elegant cars ever assembled.
This week I had the honor to become one with the stunningly beautiful 2025 Lexus LC 500 convertible, a luxury roadster that turns heads no matter where you go. As if it couldn’t get any better, this gorgeous creature is the Bespoke Edition, which means it is a car that has been specially customized with unique options for you, allowing you to personalize the exterior and interior design to your taste and specific preferences. You get to choose your paint color, interior trim, and other features not available on a standard LC 500. It is a tailored version of a car made just for you.
Exterior
Let’s start with exterior of the vehicle, where you’ll see the LC gets wider to the rear, has just beautiful 21-inch wheels, distinctive lines, and a beautiful mesh Lexus grill.
Flush door handles pop out when you approach the LC and have the key with you. There are huge exhaust tips in the rear and LED lighting illuminates from the front and rear.
This vehicle was ordered for the press fleet, and someone chose the exterior color of Flare Yellow, which is striking, and super metallic.
Powertrain
Also timeless, is a V8 under the hood, and you won’t find a turbo charger. It is a heavily-braced 5.0 that is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission with huge shift paddles on the steering wheel. This combo puts out a strong 471-horses and 398 pound feet of torque. 0-to-60 time in this 4,500-pound car is a mere 4.3 seconds and if you keep going, it will top out at 168-miles per hour. The LC is rear-wheel drive and there is no all-wheel drive version offered.
Interior
Open the door to reveal a well-appointed interior that looks rich and comfortable. As you sit behind the power tilt and heated steering wheel with controls, you see a highly configurable gauge cluster that is colorful and changes with each drive mode. A push of a button on the steering wheel makes the center speedometer slide to the right to reveal a totally different look, and I will say this feature is pretty darned cool.
Stitching is all-around and my tester, being the Bespoke Edition, gives you a unique interior that is white and navy blue and just stunning. I am not 100% sure the white and navy would have been my top choice with the yellow exterior, but everyone knows I am color blind, so maybe it is prettier than I think.
The center console houses the shifter, the auto hold button, a palm rest opens up to raise and lower the top and roll up and down all the windows with just the touch of a button. There is a single cup holder, a huge volume button for the sound system, and shortcuts for the camera and one to activate the heated and cooled seats.
If you remember the old Lexus track pad, thankfully it is gone and has been replaced with a 12.3” touchscreen to operate the sound system, navigation system, load your favorite apps, and enjoy wireless Apple Car Play, wireless Android Auto, and Alexa services.
There are a couple of oddly placed round knobs to the left and right of the dash up high that operate the traction control and drive modes, and of course my favorite is sport plus mode.
The LC does have a back seat, but to be honest, it’s worthless for humans, but a good place for briefcases, purses, and puppies. Lexus makes it easy to access the area with electric sliding front seats.
For a convertible, the cargo area is pretty impressive size-wise, and this is a car you can travel in. Since it is a cloth top instead of a hard top, cargo area is the same whether the top is up or down.
Features and Options
This car comes completely loaded with all the latest safety features, heated and cooled seats, LED lights in front and rear, and a removable wind screen. You will lack for nothing in this luxury vehicle.
Options total $12,625 broken down like this: The white & blue interior is $1,900. The Bespoke build is $5,500, all-weather package is $250, the 21” wheels are $1,960, head-up display $900, upper body heating is $920, the paint is $525, and carbon fiber door plates are $600.
I have to be honest, the Bespoke build is not something I personally would opt for. This beauty comes in some very nice combinations and I’m sure I could find something I’d love.
Ride and Drive
The LC is very balanced, acceleration is incredible, the exhaust sound will make you smile, and this car is easy to get in and out of. Overall, I found it to be a real joy to drive and to just look at.
Fuel economy is good for a speedster at 15 in town and 25 on the highway, but this car is offered in a hybrid that will get you 26 City and 33 highway.
Verdict
MSRP as equipped is $120,425 and for a head-turning car that performs like this one, that price does not seem out of line at all.
