If you are in the market for a minivan or if you are a minivan fan, you owe me one. Yes, I took one for the team. It reminds me what I tell neighbors sometimes when they question what is in my driveway: “I drive them all.” Now don’t get me wrong-in the world of minivans, I am reviewing a great one with the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica. From the standpoint of utility, technology, and driving pleasure, it is arguably the best out there, but as I’ve said many times, I’m just not a minivan guy. I do, however, understand why people buy them and for many people, there is no better choice.
For 2025, Chrysler has simplified the menu by offer just three trim levels: Select, Limited, and the top-of-the-line Pinnacle. My review van is the Limited and comes extremely well equipped. I had the Pinnacle for 2024 and was amazed with the quilted Nappa leather seats, but this Limited is very nice as well.
Powertrain
Pacifica comes standard with the Chrysler V6 Pentastar engine, one known for being extremely reliable. It is putting out 287-horses and has 262 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, and this one is all-wheel drive, but you can get the Select in front-wheel drive. Now if it were me, I’d go with the plug-in hybrid version that will get you 33-miles of driving just on battery and the fuel economy is fantastic. For the record, the Limited trim only comes with the regular V6.
Interior
Moving to the inside of the van, you’ll find very welcoming seating for seven people, but with a second-row bench seat, you can carry 8 passengers. Being a minivan, the ride height is low and makes it very easy to enter through the key fob-controlled power sliding doors on both sides. Since my review vehicle has captain chairs in the center row, getting to the 3rd row seat is easy as well. One other great thing about minivans is when parking in a lot somewhere, unloading kids, the wide open space of the sliding doors makes everything so much easier.
From the driver’s seat, everything is laid out logically and is easy to reach and see. A round knob to the right of the steering wheel serves as the shift mechanism for the 9-speed automatic transmission.
High on the center stack is the terrific 10.1” Uconnect 5 navigation screen. It operates the 19-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system that has a subwoofer, the navigation system, the Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, Wi-Fi hotspot, universal garage door opener, and check out the FamCam that checks on rear occupants. There are a host of apps that provide real-time information. Below the screen are controls for the parking systems and the air conditioning systems.
Just a little more on FamCam, it is terrific if you have kids. You can easily keep an eye on the kids and the system has automatic day and night modes and a split-view screen option which allows you to monitor your passengers when you need to, even in rear-facing child seats. It’s like having eyes in the back of your head.
Even though this is not the top-of-the-line Pinnacle, and it comes standard with a lot of nice features like remote start, power liftgate, leather seating, heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front power seats on both sides, and a panoramic moon roof. The Limited has 20” black aluminum wheels, LED headlights, a roof rack, power mirrors, and heated rear seats.
Second row captain chairs are comfortable, large, heated, and have fold-down armrests. Leg and headroom are terrific, and the second row seats recline. The third row is also incredibly roomy and comfortably seat three adults or children.
You also get standard the exclusive Stow ‘N Go seats for the second and third rows. The Stow 'n Go seating system offers exceptional versatility, allowing you to easily configure the interior for passengers or cargo. Both the second and third rows can be folded flat into the floor, creating a spacious and completely flat cargo area. When the seats are in use, the underfloor compartments provide additional storage space for items like bags, tools, or emergency gear. Bear in mind, you cannot get these seats with the hybrid version, the battery fits into the floor and prevents it. If you’ve never seen the Stow ‘N Go seating, here is a good video to watch:
Cargo area is very good as well. The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica offers 32.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, 87.5 cubic feet with the third row folded, and up to 140.5 cubic feet with both the second and third rows folded.

Options
This one has two option packages, the first is $1,280 for the Safety Sphere. This gives you a 360 Surround-View camera, front and rear parking sensors, parallel and perpendicular self-parking which is fantastic.
For $3,325 you get the Uconnect Theater Family Group, an absolute must if you have kids. This is a premium entertainment and convenience package designed to enhance family road trips. It features dual 10.1-inch HD touchscreens mounted on the front headrests, allowing rear passengers to stream content via Amazon Fire TV, play games, or connect devices through HDMI inputs. Wireless headphones and remote controls are included for a seamless viewing experience.
This group also includes a 115-volt power outlet, and multiple USB ports to keep devices charged. It has an integrated vacuum cleaner called Stow ’n Vac, which helps maintain cleanliness on the go. You get video remote controls, a 760-watt amplifier, Blu-Ray DVD player, and hands-free sliding doors. Let me just add that for $3,325, this package is a true bargain.
Safety
The Pacifica comes standard with some great safety features, including Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, and LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist. It also includes Blind Spot Monitoring, ParkSense Rear Park Assist with automatic braking, and Rear Cross Path Detection, providing comprehensive protection and driver confidence. All the standard features on this minivan will give you semi-self-driving capabilities.
Ride and Drive
The Pacifica Limited is incredibly quiet inside, and the ride quality is very good as well. The driving and handling characteristics are more like and SUV with a better ride. The acceleration of this van was nothing short of impressive.
MPG and MSRP
Fuel economy is rated at 17 in town, 25 on the highway, and 20 overall. MSRP as this one is equipped is $59,165 and you will generally find aggressive incentives to get that price way down.
Verdict
Just to be clear, I am not a minivan guy in case you were not aware-but if I WERE a minivan guy, this is likely the one I would have but in the hybrid version. I would just have to have all the windows tinted as dark as possible. I do have a reputation to uphold.
