Q:  Will Car Prices Go Down in 2026 and Should You Buy Now or Wait? 

A: The new vehicle market is stable right now, with new-vehicle prices averaging around $50,000 so far this year. While I don't expect prices to go down in 2026. I don't expect them to go up much either. So for most car shoppers, there's no reason to wait. In fact, we're seeing more incentives of late which lowers prices. Just remember, resist the temptation to get 84-month financing.
