Audi is updating its flagship SUV with bolder looks, upgraded lightning, safety and more for 2024.

What's New

Exterior

Exterior-wise, the 2024 Q8 receives revised front and rear fascias that feature new styling elements, along with new wheels and exterior colors.

The Q8's Singleframe grille incorporates new elements which extend into the L-shaped treatments on the SQ8 (and on the Q8 when equipped with the S line style package.) There are also new prominent air intakes that are integrated into the lower fascia. The larger intakes feature a honeycomb grille across their surface.

The 2024 Q8 also has a redesigned front lip spoiler and rear diffuser, along with new more dynamic exhaust outlets.  

An available Black optic package includes high-gloss black for the mask surrounding the signature Singleframe grille, the trim on the side windows, and on the front and rear fascias.

The 2024 Q8 and SQ8 also incorporates Audi’s new badging strategy with the model, derivative, and technology identifier laser etched into the B-pillar.

Three new metallic-finish exterior colors are now on offer: Sakhir Gold (Q8, SQ8); and Ascari Blue and Chili Red (SQ8). Four new wheel designs are also offered – one for the Q8 and three for the SQ8 – ranging from 21 to 23 inches.

Interior

Designers also updated the cabin with new decorative interior inlays and seats with contrasting stitching.  A refined selection of available equipment now features a Carbon twill matte inlay standard for the SQ8.

Lighting

Audi's Matrix-design LED headlights are newly standard on the 2024 Q8. The digital daytime running lights are also now positioned on the upper horizontal edge to give the Q8 more visual width and form a connection between the headlights and Singleframe grille.

HD Matrix-design LED headlights with Audi laser light are also available and instantly recognizable via a blue anodized aluminum housing incorporated into the headlight.

New for the top-of-the-range headlights are digital daytime running-light signatures, which allow drivers to select one of four individual light signatures.

Also,  for the first time, Audi will offer digitalized OLED rear lights on the SQ8 Prestige as an available option. The lights feature four available digital light signatures.  In back, an LED light strip with black high-gloss trim and integrated Audi rings links the digital OLED rear lights across the entire width of the car. Additional functions include dynamic turn signals as well as various coming home and leaving home lighting animations.

New Safety and Multimedia Tech

The 2024 Q8 adds some safety technology. The lineup now includes Adaptive Cruise Assist with lane guidance, Remote Start and Audi app store through Audi connect. 

Also as part of the 2024 update, a new Adaptive cruise assist area display will show lane change warnings, distance warning, intersection assist, and traffic light info all in vivid full-HD quality.

Owners will also find more apps accessible via the infotainment system. Also for the first time, passengers can download popular apps from third-party providers such as Spotify or Amazon music through the new Audi app store in the MMI head unit. Regular software updates will expand the range of available downloadable applications.

Two Powertrains

The Q8 model is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter turbocharged TFSI V6 that delivers 335 horsepower and 369 lb.-ft. of torque. It's mated to an eight-speed transmission and standard Quattro all-wheel drive. Audi cites a Q8 0-60 mph time of 5.5 seconds. 

The SQ8 is equipped with a standard 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged TFSI V8 that produces 500 horsepower and 568 lb.-ft. of torque. Audi cites a SQ8 0-60 mph time of 4.0 seconds. The powertrain features an on-demand cylinder deactivation system.
