Weekly Recalls: Lucid, RAM, Volvo

**LUCID**

Summary

Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Air vehicles. The high voltage coolant heater may fail to defrost the windshield.

Remedy

Lucid will update the software to identify a high voltage coolant heater failure and provide a warning to the driver. High voltage coolant heaters that fail will be replaced. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 8, 2024. Owners may contact Lucid customer service at 1-888-995-8243. Lucid's number for this recall is SR-24-01-0.

**RAM**

Ram will be recalling nearly one million one million model year 2013-2023 Ram 2500 and 3500 Cummins diesel-equipped vehicles sold in the United State. Cummins has recently agreed to pay a record $1.675 civil penalty over using defeat device software to cheat emissions.

Per the EPA's program overview web page "the vehicles eligible for the recalls are model year 2013 through 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 diesel vehicles certified by Cummins. Cummins equipped approximately 630,000 vehicles with illegal software (“defeat devices”) that reduce the effectiveness of the emission control system during normal driving conditions."

**VOLVO**

Summary

Volvo Car USA, LLC (Volvo Car) is recalling certain 2024 XC40 vehicles. A diagnostic error in the Central Electronic Module (CEM) software may cause the left rear turn signal indicator to not function.

Remedy

The CEM software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 28, 2024. Owners may contact Volvo Car customer service at 1-800-458-1552. Volvo Car's number for this recall is R10256.
