You've heard the news by now - the Ram 1500 Hemi is back for 2026! And yes, it's all thanks to consumer demand. Its return to the 1500 lineup came together rather quickly, too, as Brant Combs, Director of Ram North America Sales Operations, recently shared with me at the 2025 Texas Truck Rodeo. He brought the Hemi-equipped Ram 1500 Crew Cab Limited Longhorn to the event that is hosted annually by the Texas Auto Writers Association, of which I am a member. I had a chance to spend some time behind the wheel and also get the scoop on the Hemi's reintroduction to the market just three months after Ram announced its return.
The 5.7L V8 HEMI eTorque Engine features Stop/Start and delivers 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. It's paired to a very smooth shifting 8-speed automatic. Power feels terrific.
I have to tell you that I don't drive Ram pickups much - but every time I get behind the wheel I am more impressed than the last time. The ride and drive are both just incredible - wow does that 4-corner air suspension feel nice!. The interiors wow., too, case in point being this trim with its premium Bison brown leather interior and all the western-themed touches that come with it.
And those front seats aren't just heated and ventilated, they also have a massage feature. The list of luxury features goes on with a leather- and wood-wrapped steering wheel, heated second row seats, and a dual wireless charging pad.
Technology features include a 12-inch color digital driver display along with 12-inch tablet touchscreen that runs Uconnect5. Screens don't end there as there is also an interactive display for the passenger.

As spec'd, options on this model include its Granite Crystal Metallic Clearcoat hue for $295 which is surprising given most premium colors are typically more. Its 22-inch wheels are $2,09.5. The new Dodge Symbol of Protest Badge and G/T Exhaust are listed as part of a Customer Preferred Package for a reasonable $495.
Other added equipment includes the optional chrome power-fold trailer-tow mirrors for an extra $795. A dual-pane panoramic roof adds $1,595 and the multifunction tailgate tacks on a optional $1,095. You'll get a exterior 115 Volt AC outlet for $545.

Standard safety is also fantastic and includes an Active Driving Assist System, Active Lane Management System, Pedestrian Emergency Braking, Stop and Go Adaptive Cruise Control, Park Sense Front and Rear Park Assist and more.
For all this and more, the MSRP on this particular model is $86,205.
Availability
The 2026 Ram 1500 Hemi is now shipping to customers. The engine is available in 2026 model-year Ram 1500 Tradesman, Big Horn, Express, Warlock, Laramie, Rebel (late availability), Limited and Longhorn.
