Used EV Car Prices Rise Again Led By Tesla

Led sharply by Tesla, used EV prices are on the rebound thanks to higher gasoline prices. According to a new iSeeCars study, used EV prices are up 7.4% year over year in June -  a dramatic increase. June also marks the third straight month of higher used EV prices.  iSeeCars says used EV prices were up 2.7% year over year in April and 5.2% in May.

In terms of price,  iSeeCars says the average price of a 1- to 5-year-old used EV reached $33,305 in June, up $838 from May and $2,308 from June 2025.  This, while the average used vehicle price dropped by $412 to $32,395, down 1.3% from a year ago.

The Tesla Model X is the used vehicle with the largest price increase year over year overall- increasing 17.5%.

Average Used EV Prices

iSeeCars' latest study analyzed over 1.8 million 1- to 5-year-old used cars sold in June 2025 and 2026, and compared average listing prices of each model between the two periods. From July 2025 to June 2026, used EV prices have been up five months, and down seven:

  • June 2026 average used EV prices climbed to $33,305, up $2,308 year over year, a 7.4% increase.
  • May 2026 average used EV prices hit $32,456, up $1,602 year over year, a 5.2% increase. 
  • April 2026 average used EV prices hit $31,984, up $852 year over year, a 2.7% increase.
  • March 2026 average used EV prices hit $30,535, down $1,061 year over year, a 3.4% decrease
  • February 2026 average used EV prices rang up at $30,765, down $1,063 year over year, a 3.3.% decrease
  • January 2026 average used EV prices rang up at $30,666, down $546 year over year, a 1.7% decrease.
  • December 2025 average used EV prices rang up at $30,809, up $325 year over year, a 1.1.% increase.
  • November 2025 average used EV prices rang up at $31,285, up $518 year over year, a 1.7.% increase.
  • October 2025 average used EV prices were $32,134, down $517 year over year, a 1.6.% decrease.
  • September 2025 average used EV prices were $30,257, down $1,748 year over year, a 5.5.% decrease.
  • August 2025 average used EV prices were $30,227, down $511 year over year, a 1.7.% decrease.
  • July 2025 average used EV prices were $30,594, down $408 year over year, a 1.3.% decrease.

 

Used Cars With Largest Price Increases  

Five EVs rank among the 20 used models with the largest price increases in June, including all four Tesla models (X, 3, S, Y). The top 10 list is below:
