Ram is adding a new Heavy Duty pickup to the family: the 2023 Ram 2500 HD Rebel. It's based on the very popular 1500 Rebel.  It was first unveiled at the State Fair of Texas Auto Show back in September and slots between the Laramie and the Power Wagon.  Ram says it's designed to offer off-road performance features straight from the factory.

Ram brought the new 2500 HD Rebel to the Texas Truck Rodeo held in October by the Texas Auto Writers Association, of which I'm a current board memeber.  I had a chance to get behind the wheel and chat with Ram Trucks' Jeff Johnson about its features.

As a HD pickup you expect it to be capable, which it is. What you might not expect is it's smooth and enjoyable ride - something you'll also find in the Ram 1500 lineup. It really is remarkable in a pickup this size. The suspension just feels terrific and lends itself to excellent ride quality.

Johnson shows us the highlights of the new Ram 2500 HD Rebel which includes a new digital driver display.
