Great news if buying a Ram pickup is on your list of New Year's resolutions. Ram has decided to continue to offer its best-in-class full-size truck and van limited powertrain warranty for the duration of the 2026 model-year (excluding full battery-electric vehicles). The warranty covers 2026 model-year Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, Chassis Cab 3500/4500/5500 and ProMaster vans sold in the United States and Canada, including the high-performance Ram RHO and Ram Power Wagon.
Ram first announced its best-in-segment, 10-year/100,000-mile, limited powertrain warranty last June. It was slated to end January 2, 2026, but Ram is expanding the warranty due to what it calls overwhelming customer and dealer feedback. The brand says the extension underscores its commitment to quality and long-term value as nearly 80% of new truck loans now exceed five years, outpacing traditional 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty periods.
The limited powertrain warranty is applicable to the original owner of 2026 model-year Ram trucks and vans. It covers the engine, transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, differentials and axles for 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Warranty offer includes retail purchases and leases to individuals and businesses, excluding fleet purchases.
