Mazda is receiving top honors as the 2024 "Best SUV Brand" by U.S. News & World Report. U.S. News cites high quality for Mazda's first win as Best SUV Brand. Mazda's newest SUV is the flagship CX-90, which replaces the CX-9. The brand's other SUVs include the CX-30, CX-5, and CX-50.

U.S. News & World Report 2024 Best Vehicle Brands
The 2024 Best Vehicle Brands awards name winners in four segments: cars, SUVs, trucks and luxury vehicles. U.S. News says it evaluated 38 brands across four key segments and averaged the overall score of all the given brand's products in each award class. The brand with the highest average score was designated the winner in that specific category. The overall scores are derived from the U.S. News Best Cars rankings, which take into account safety ratings, reliability data and the collective opinion of the automotive press.
Here's are the winning brands in all four segments:
- Best Car Brand: Honda
- Best SUV Brand: Mazda
- Best Truck Brand: Ram
- Best Luxury Brand: Rivian
It's Honda's third consecutive category win. U.S. News says Honda's overall scores can be attributed to the strong qualities of the Civic and Accord models. U.S News cites high quality as earning Mazda its first win as the Best SUV Brand. U.S. News says Ram's fifth consecutive win as Best Truck Brand is due to consistently high overall quality across Ram 1500 and Ram 2500 models. Finally, U.S. News says Rivian's innovative approach to its luxury vehicles earned it a win as Best Luxury Brand.
