When you think of automakers who are front and center when it comes to pets, Subaru and maybe also Jeep are likely the first brand's that come to mind. Well now you can add Lexus to the list if you didn't have it there already. In honor of recent National Pets Parent Day, Lexus is sharing some Lexus Accessory Pet Products designed to help keep your four-legged family member safe while riding in the car.
Keeping Your Pet Safe
Safety is the number one priority when it comes to carrying your pet in the car. It's important to keep them contained and you can do this several ways. Lexus highlights the Kurgo Backseat Barrier that attaches to the backs of the front seats to help keep that furry precious cargo safely in the back seat. The mesh top allows pets and their parents to see each other.

Kurgo® Heather Booster Seat
You also don't want to drive with your pet riding in your lap. Instead, Lexus suggests a Booster Seat for your pet. This one installs easily and collapses so it's also easy to store away. Plus, the integrated tether can be attached to the dog’s harness to be used with a vehicle seatbelt.
Protecting Your Interior
Keeping your vehicle clean and scratch free is also going to be on your mind if you're traveling with a pet. Lexus says the Kurgo Wander Bench Seat Cover helps to protect your vehicle interior from scratching and other damage. It's easy to install with top, middle, rear and under seat attachments to help keep it from slipping off. You can also store treats and toys in the pockets.

Other items to help keep your car clean (think dog hair, dirt, etc.) include a cargo cape or hammock. They can accommodate 50/50 seat splits, and continued usage of seatbelts.
Keeping Everyone Hydated

Another option is the Kurgo Gourd Water Bottle and Bowl which will hydrate both the pet and their owner. The top slides open and has a plastic cup that snaps onto the bottom allowing owners to drink from the top and pets to drink from the bottom.
