Genesis G70 Named 2026 Car Of The Year By Texas Auto Writers

Congrats to the Genesis G70 - recently crowned the 2026 Car of Texas by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA). The recognition follows real-world road testing by TAWA members at the 2026 TAWA Texas Auto Roundup earlier this spring. It's the fourth straight year the G70 has earned the Roundup's top honor.

TAWA journalists tested the G70 in a new Prestige Graphite trim which features dark chrome grille accents and 19-inch dark alloy wheels.  It's outfitted with a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 and an electronic suspension and available with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Drivers can opt for Ceres Blue or Vatna Gray.

“With 300 horsepower, razor-sharp handling, and a striking, sophisticated design, the Genesis G70 redefines expectations for a modern sport sedan,” said Marc Newman, president of TAWA. “Genesis continues to raise the bar, earning the top award at the TAWA Auto Roundup for the fourth straight year.”

The cabin features Ultramarine Blue Nappa leather and orange contrast stitching, a microfiber suede headliner and a 12.3‑inch 3D digital instrument cluster.

“The Genesis G70 Prestige Graphite embodies Athletic Elegance, elevated craftsmanship and everyday versatility, making it the ideal sport sedan,” said Tedros Mengiste, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America. “G70 Prestige Graphite delivers an exceptional balance of performance and comfort, which is why it continues to resonate with enthusiasts and everyday drivers alike.”

The 2026 Genesis G70 starts from $43,450 with the Prestige Graphite trim starting from at $56,900 (RWD) and $58,900 (AWD).
