Ford & Timberland Team Up For F-150 Work Boots

If you’ve ever looked at your truck and thought, “You know what would really pull this whole look together? Matching boots,” well, congratulations…someone finally beat you to it.

In one of the more creative collaborations I’ve seen in a while, Ford Motor Company and Timberland have teamed up to produce a work boot inspired by the Ford F-150—and yes, it actually has a grille built into the toe.

This isn’t just a simple co-branded boot with a logo slapped on the side. According to Timberland’s product listing, the Timberland PRO x Ford Boondock 6-inch waterproof work boot features a molded rubber toe cap designed to resemble the front grille of an F-150, complete with a Ford oval badge right up front. In other words, you’re not just wearing boots—you’re walking around with a truck face on your feet.

And they didn’t stop there. The boots also get F-150-inspired details throughout, including branded lace hardware, heel clips with Ford badging, and blue accents that tie back to the truck’s design language. Even the footbed gets in on the act with co-branded anti-fatigue technology meant to keep you comfortable whether you’re on a jobsite or just standing around explaining your footwear to curious bystanders.

Now, before you think this is all style and no substance, these are legit work boots. Timberland says they’re built with premium waterproof leather, meet ASTM safety standards, and offer electrical hazard protection. So yes, they’re made to handle real work—not just a trip to Cars and Coffee where your boots might actually get more attention than your truck.

Pricing runs in the mid-$200 range depending on whether you go with a soft toe or composite safety toe, which puts them right in line with Timberland’s higher-end work boots. In other words, the “truck grille option package” doesn’t cost you much extra.

The collaboration itself actually makes sense when you think about it. Timberland has long been associated with tradespeople and outdoor work, while Ford has built its reputation on trucks that are supposed to get the job done. As Hypebeast noted in its coverage of the release, both brands are leaning into that shared blue-collar identity with this partnership.

Still, it’s the design that’s getting all the attention. The folks over at The Autopian pointed out that the toe cap doesn’t just hint at a truck—it fully commits, with grille-like styling that’s instantly recognizable as F-150-inspired. Whether you think that’s clever or a little over the top probably depends on how much Ford gear you already own.

We’ve seen plenty of automotive tie-ins over the years—special edition trucks, branded jackets, hats, even belt buckles—but this one definitely stands out. It’s one thing to drive a Ford. It’s another thing entirely to lace one up every morning.

Then again, if you’re the kind of person who swears by your truck and isn’t shy about showing it, these might be right up your alley. Ford’s whole “Built Ford Tough” mindset meets Timberland’s reputation for durability, and the result is something that’s equal parts workwear and conversation starter.

Just be prepared for the first time someone looks down and asks, “Is that an F-150 on your foot?”
