A new look is on the way for Chevrolet High Country trims. High County is the brand's top trim and can be found in both its SUV and truck lineups. The trim's new look takes it into more modern territory - both inside and out. The three-row Traverse will debut the updates followed by the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500.
“High Country is an important part of Chevrolet’s design strategy — a premium expression with a clear role across the lineup,” said Phil Zak, global executive exterior design director. “Launching first on the new Traverse and then on the Silverado, we’re evolving the trim’s identity into something more premium, modern, athletic and aspirational, while keeping it grounded in the capability and confidence that define Chevrolet.”

Chevrolet says Traverse improves with the addition of the evolved High Country and advanced tech available across the lineup, while building on strong momentum for the brand's SUV portfolio. The automaker says this momentum is fueled by a highly dedicated customer base, as Traverse High Country customers are more loyal to Chevrolet and to the Traverse nameplate.
Traverse sales were up 20% in the second quarter of 2026, according to the automaker, delivering the nameplate’s best-ever first half, following its best-ever sales in 2025.
High Country Updates
High Country updates on the 2027 Traverse High Country exterior include the debut of a new High Country badge design on the front doors and liftgate, a new Tritan Satin finish on the grille and headlamp accents, and a new set of 22-inch high-gloss black, machined-face aluminum wheels.

Chevrolet says the High Country interior evolution comes through in a premium seating material designed to balance style, durability and everyday usability with new Jet Black seats with Natural Tan accents, Natural Tan edged seatbelts, debossed first-row headrests, and real wood décor.

For 2027, new camera features provide helpful views inside and outside the vehicle, whether you’re on the road or parked. An interior camera, available in all 2027 Chevy Traverse models and standard in High Country and RS, adds visibility for family adventures. Cabin Glance gives you a view of the 2nd and 3rd rows from the center screen up front, so you can check on kids and pets in the back rows.
Another new feature is Surround Vision Recorder which allows you capture, watch and save videos from your vehicle camera's when the vehicle is on. For extra peace of mind, Security Recording can automatically start recording footage when something triggers the vehicle’s alarm. You can save the footage on a USB drive and access video recordings whenever you need them.
It also features a 17.7-inch diagonal center touchscreen, available Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology and a comprehensive suite of Chevy Safety Assist and additional driver-assistance features.
Chevrolet says the three-row Traverse delivers best-in-class max cargo volume. A standard 2.5L turbocharged engine delivers 328 horsepower and 326 lb.-ft. of torque with up to 5,000 pounds of trailering capability.
Availability
The 2027 Chevrolet Traverse High Country begins production this month at Lansing Delta Township Assembly with U.S. and globally sourced parts.
