Which States Have The Greatest Need For Speed?

When it comes to owning sports cars,  very few Americans do, according to iSeeCars. Researchers say given the price tag and impracticality of these vehicles, sports car ownership is a reality for just 2.3 percent of American drivers. That said,  iSeeCars is tallying up with states have the most sports cars and the most popular sports cars in each state. 

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Florida is the state with the most sports cars on the road, followed by Hawaii 
  • The top ten states with the most sports cars have generally moderate climates.
  • The states with the least sports cars are Northern, Rocky Mountain, and Midwestern states that have harsh winters.
  • The Dodge Challenger is the most popular sports car in 46 states, while the Ford Mustang is the most popular in the remaining 4.
  • The Ford Mustang is the most popular sports car in coastal states

Here's a look at the top six states as ranked by iSeeCars in its analysis of over seven million vehicle sales.
