The all-new, all-electric Lexus RZ 450e is on sale now and includes seven hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. The expansion moves Lexus closer to its goal to offer 100% EVs globally by 2035. The RZ 450e is the first Lexus with a dedicated BEV e-TNGA platform. Lexus’s use of the new lightweight e-TNGA steel platform helps with mass placement and provides high body rigidity providing enhanced stability and a more comfortable ride. The body of the RZ 450e also has high tensile steel panels and an aluminum hood to reduce weight and contribute to increased rigidity. The 96-cell lithium ion battery pack has been placed under the floor. It currently comes in two grades the Premium and Luxury. Standard features include LSS+ 3.0, Lexus Interface with a 14-inch touchscreen and DIRECT4 all-wheel drive. It’s available now with a starting MSRP of $59,650.
