Kia America Director of Corporate Communications James Bell says manufacturers are transitioning more and more to EVs. Bell says the first thing most people notice about EVs is how quiet the drive is. Bell: "You know I think one of the most interesting considerations is the fact that driving an electric vehicle is, for lack of a better term, luxurious. I mean when you think about a Rolls Royce or a Bentley what are the words that we would use. Quiet, fast, comfortable, smooth. That's the same thing with electric cars. Because of the nature of them there is no gasoline power to rev up, no gears to change so the power is very, very linear, very, very athletic and in the case of this vehicle here faster than many supercars. And also very quiet. You don't have this gasoline engine ahead of you grinding away, say at a stop light. It's always very luxurious and smooth and quiet, and you arrive at your destination more relaxed and let's be fair we could all use a little more relaxation in our day."
