Ford Heritage Vault Now Offers More Than 12,000 Images, Brochures

Each week, our veteran radio news journalist, Laura Reynolds, brings interviews with top auto industry execs to CarPro. You can hear her latest Auto News shorts right here. In a hurry? Then you'll love these 1-2 minute interview segments.

    Ford Heritage Vault

Top Gear called the Ford Heritage Vault the greatest time waste of all times and they weren’t kidding. I talked to Ford’s Ted Ryan who says you can download thousands of Ford images and brochures for free! Ryan: "We're now over 12,000 pieces of content in there, you know evenly divided between images and brochures. I'm excited to say we've added all the vehicles from Ford of England so now you can go so see all your Consuls snd Zodiacs and just last week we added 2400 international images, so you can now see that your Australian Utes and your German Consuls and the German Taunus. So 2400 images of Ford vehicles from around the world and the usage on that site is just stunning. So it's FordHeritageVault.com. In the nine months since we launched it we've had over 5 million searches and 1.5 million downloads. So I know that the fans out there have checked it out once or twice and I urge everybody to get get sucked in like that." Need that website again?  He's such an enabler. It's  FordHeritageVault.com. That's FordHeritageVault.com.

    Auto Show Attendance

When asked Brian Moody, at AutoTrader if this year's attendance at auto shows is back to pre-pandemic levels, here's what he said. Moody: "I think people are tired at looking at stuff online. You can only see so much by looking at pictures, you can't get scope or scale. You can't get textures or the feel of the fabric. So having these auto shows I think is important not just for shoppers, but just for people getting out and doing something fun, but in addition to that shoppers of course. And that is what people were saying. I went to an auto show in Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Auto Show and also one in Salt Lake City. And it was the same thing. People wanted to get in and press the buttons and flip the switches and see can my 6-foot 2 teen fit in the back seat or not. If I put my child seat in the back seat, is my kid going to kick my seat the whole way on a trip. Well those are things you need to go and do in person not just look at pictures online.” For all the information check out CarPro.com. With today’s Auto News, I’m Laura Reynolds.
