Hertz is launching Hertz Electrified in Houston, Texas. More than 2000 EVs will be added to its Houston locations by the end of 2023. Partnering with Hertz and the City of Houston President of BP Pulse Vic Shao talks about the enhanced charging stations that will be added to Houston Hobby Airport. Shao: "What we are launching is a concept called Gigahub and Gigahub is up to 50 chargers in one location. All Fast Chargers, 150-kilowatts and above. And it will accommodate all make, models of EVs, as well as Teslas, and the goal and the ambition is to make it seamless,  and easy for any drivers, any make, model vehicle to get charged. And at an airport location like Hobby, it's especially important, so that we can serve the Uber drivers and the Lyft drivers, the ones that really need charging and you know, it the most, it is the best use case for charging if you think about it, they can get a charge while they are waiting for their next passenger pickup. So that's why this is so important." For more information on these and other vehicles, check out CarPro.com. With Today’s Auto News, I’m Laura Reynolds.
