Dear CarPro Family,

Dads, I hope you had a great Father’s Day and were showered with love last Sunday.  We have another newsletter today packed with information I hope you can use.  Be sure to look all the way to the bottom so you don’t miss anything.

A quick programming note -  join us for tomorrow's show for a special segment with Fox News' Emily Compagno! Not only is she an accomplished television news host, she's also an author as well as a car enthusiast! In DFW, tune in at 9:35am CT on WBAP, and everywhere else at 11:35 CT/9:35 PT.

We start today with used car prices, great news if you have a trade-in, unless it is a Tesla.  I give you Bank of America’s annual auto outlook, and it is not a pretty picture overall.  You travel trailer lovers I have info about a cool new limited-edition Airstream travel trailer. If you are traveling this summer, people are not as pleased as they were according to a new study.

In car reviews, I have two beautiful but very different vehicles: The 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander hybrid, and the stunning 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 all-electric sedan. Our Amy Plemons gives you a review of the 2025 Lexus TX 350 F Sport HandlingIn advice, I give you a comprehensive checklist for your car if you are going to take it on a summer road trip.  We have a lot more for you I didn’t mention, plus a special report from Kim Komando about finding missing money, and I HIGHLY recommend you look.  I did and I found some money I had forgotten.

Plus, lots of other information you will likely enjoy, including my video of the week which is always one of the most clicked on items in the newsletter.  If you haven’t perused my FAQ page, please do.  There are likely multiple articles you can use, every one of them written by me.

Check the recall section to see if you may need to take action on your vehicle.  Miss a radio show?  Below we tell you how to get the podcast, and if you missed a newsletter, we tell you how to find the archive page where you can see the last 10 editions.  The incentives have gone up lately, but our Incentive Guide is always 100% up to date.

A Dear Friend Is Hyundai Capital's New CEO & President!

Jim Drotman photoTalk about an American success story!  A good friend of mine, Jim Drotman, has been named the new CEO and President of Hyundai Capital America (HCA). He worked at the Dallas Ford Motor Credit Branch when I was a Ford dealer and Chairman of the Ford National Dealer Council. He was one of the friendliest and sharpest guys at Ford Credit, and you just knew he was destined for greatness.  I admit, I didn’t see him ever leaving Ford Credit, and so him being named CEO and President of Hyundai’s America’s captive credit arm, was a surprise. HCA is extremely lucky to have his expertise and leadership. HCA made the announcement official last week.

Sincere congratulations to Jim Drotman, along with his lovely wife Shannon and their children.  This is a well deserved promotion.  I will also say congratulations to my Hyundai Dealer friends all over the country.  You have no idea how good a person and manager is leading Hyundai Capital.

  Tariff Talk

tariff-taoe-containers-shutterstock_2558358515I think the war between Israel and Iran is taking priority over tariff deals being made.  However, there was a glimmer of hope that Japan and the U.S. would be able to strike a deal after the leaders met at the G7 Summit this week in Canada.

new-kim-kommando-graphiBesides the Car Pro Show and our weekly newsletter, my other favorite radio show and newsletter is Kim Komando’s.  We're on many of the same radio stations across America.  She does for her listeners and newsletter subscribers exactly what I endeavor to do:  Give you useful information to keep you up to date on the latest in cars, only she does it with technology and there is nobody who does it better.  Not sure how she puts out a top-notch newsletter seven days a week, but she does.

Here is a Special Report from Kim about finding money you may have forgotten:

Jerry's Must-See Video Of The Week!

In this minute and a half video, a "cool dude" gives various people some money in a park to watch his car for him, just keep a close eye on it, you know.  They agree, but the problem is it's not a real car and disappears the moment they are not watching.  If you need a good laugh today, this will do it!
