Dear CarPro Family,
We start today by honoring the dads who are reading this newsletter. Like the moms, Dads are special too, and have a special bond with their children. There is no substitute for the love of a dad, so today we give you a history of Father’s Day, a poem, and a very touching video that is only a minute long. Feel free to pass this on to any dad you consider to be a great one, including your own! I was blessed to have 30 Father’s Days with my son before he passed away, so if your children are still with you, count your blessings.
In big stories this week, yesterday President Trump officially rolled back California's pro-EV rules, we have the latest on that breaking news below. Also, GM announced plans to invest $4 billion in its U.S. plants to build more vehicles here. We also find out that interest in electrics is at its lowest level since 2019. Meanwhile, auto thefts saw their biggest decline last year in 40 years, and that is certainly welcome news.
Consumer advocate Clark Howard has shared some info with us this week on car tires, and we hope to feature his great work more in the future, similar to the affiliation with Kim Komando. Clark has a newsletter also that I get every single day and like Kim’s newsletter, I have learned a lot from it.
Thinking of a luxury electric car? Lucid, one of my favorites, is offering up to $31,500 in savings and that makes for a smoking low lease payment. I have the details for you below. After many years of the same design, Volvo has come up with a new seat belt design. True to my prediction, our friends over at Ram listened to customers and dealers and are bringing back the Hemi V8 in pickups.
In car reviews, I had two completely redesigned SUVs. First, I have the new 2025 Toyota 4Runner Trailhunter, and I have the 2025 Nissan Murano Platinum, which is incredibly nice. Our Amy Plemons gives you a full and complete review of the fun and sporty 2025 Audi S3 Prestige. In advice, I answer the question: Is a diesel right for you? I look at the advantages and disadvantages of the big beefy engines.
Plus, lots of other information you will likely enjoy, including my video of the week which is always one of the most clicked on items in the newsletter. If you haven’t perused my FAQ page, please do. There are likely multiple articles you can use, every one of them written by me.
Check the recall section to see if you may need to take action on your vehicle. Miss a radio show? Below we tell you how to get the podcast, and if you missed a newsletter, we tell you how to find the archive page where you can see the last 10 editions. The incentives have gone up lately, but our Incentive Guide is always 100% up to date.

We very much appreciate you being part of the newsletter family. Without you, there is no Car Pro Show. Let us know how we can help you, and if you haven’t been to our website lately, check it out at CarPro.com. It changes daily.
Have a terrific week. See you on the radio!
