September 11, 2026
Dear Car Pro Family,
25 years ago this morning, the world changed. As the morning unfolded, we found out the unimaginable happened. America was under attack. At home. This edition of the Car Pro newsletter is largely dedicated to the horrific events of 9/11/01.
We start with my thoughts on the fact that those of us who remember that day swore we’d never forget it. Sadly, it seems like we have in many cases. We follow that with a new song I did, which I’ve worked on for a long time for this day, it’s titled: We Promised We’d Never Forget. As always, feel free to share any of my music anywhere you wish, the more people who hear it, the better. After that, I would like for you to scroll through the names of the 2,977 who died 25 years ago this morning. It is sobering to see especially when you think of how many people the victims touched in their daily lives.
The theme continues with my weekly advice column. It occurred to me that many people who lost their loved ones suddenly had cars that didn’t know what to do with. So, my advice column is titled: When Someone You Love Leaves A Car Behind. My closing message today is: The Cars That Never Came Home.
Just a quick note of thanks for all who reached out and told me how much they loved my tribute song to Dolly Parton. Of the songs I’ve shared, this was by far the most listened to, although I hope today’s goes even farther.
Please feel free to forward this entire Special Edition newsletter to someone who might appreciate it, that would make me proud. There is also car news below, I give you the August 2026 National sales results, I also give you info on new lower fuel economy standards coming, and a warning to be careful of fake dealership websites.
For this week’s car reviews, I have for you the 2026 Lincoln Nautilus 3-row SUV and the beautiful, all-new 2027 Infiniti QX65 SUV. Our Amy Plemons brings you a full review of the 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland Premium. True Story #29 is called Blue Oval. It is the story of when I was the Ford Dealer Council Chairman and I got involved with a very controversial program that the Ford dealers hated. As usual we have Kim Komando’s quiz and a bunch of other tech items you can use. I’d also recommend you subscribe to her newsletter, and I give you a link to do so. I’ve also got some great stories for this week’s Quick Shifts, and lots of action in the legal roundup: Suits & Settlements.
Check the recall section to see if you may need to take action on your vehicle. Miss a radio show? Below we tell you how to get the podcast, and if you missed a newsletter, we tell you how to find the archive page where you can see the last 10 editions. The incentives have gone up lately, but our Incentive Guide is always 100% up to date.
All of our other regular features are below including the Classic Car Contest, the radio stations we are on, how to call the show to talk directly to me, and much, much, more.
We very much appreciate you being part of the newsletter family. Without you, there is no Car Pro Show. Let us know how we can help you, and if you haven’t been to our website lately, check it out at CarPro.com. It changes daily.
Have a terrific week, stay safe, and we’ll see you on the radio!
