The recall is expected to begin March 6, 2020. On X5 and X6 vehicles, only the inflator will be replaced. All repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 6, 2020. These inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling. #### Remedy GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflators, free of charge. (Ferrari) is recalling certain 2009-2011 California and 2010-2011 458 Italia vehicles equipped with non-desiccated, passenger frontal air bag inflators containing phase stabilized ammonium nitrate (PSAN) propellant that were used as interim remedy parts for previous Takata recalls. These inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling. #### Remedy Ferrari will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag assembly with an alternate one, including a new non-ammonium nitrate inflator, free of charge. The vehicles are equipped with non-desiccated, frontal passenger air bag inflators containing phase stabilized ammonium nitrate (PSAN) propellant that were used as interim remedy parts for previous Takata recalls. These inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling. #### Remedy Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflators with alternate desiccated inflators, free of charge. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail. #### Remedy The remedy for this recall is still under development. The recall is expected to begin March 13, 2020. During certain crashes, the air bag electronic control unit (ECU) may malfunction, possibly disabling the deployment of the air bags and/or seat belt pretensioners. The subject vehicles are equipped with a front driver airbag with an inflator made by Takata. According to information provided by Takata, the airbag may not deploy properly. This could result in abnormal deployment of the airbag or the chance of an inflator rupture. If an abnormal deployment or inflator rupture occurs, this could increase the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. Toyota is currently investigating the remedy for this issue and will announce it once available.
