U.S. Pickup Truck Sales In The Second Quarter Of 2021

With all brands reporting for the second quarter of this year, we have a look at the truck race for 2021.  Generally it’s not a race at all…Ford has been the #1 seller of truck for 44 straight years.

However, the chip shortage has hurt Ford a lot more than Ram and Chevrolet and it shows in the second quarter truck sales numbers.  Ford found itself in third place in the second quarter standings.  A year ago in the second quarter, Ford led GM and Ram by over 60,000 vehicles.  It is a much different picture this year.

Here are the pickup sales for the second quarter of 2021:

  3.  Ford F-Series: 158,234
  4.  GMC Sierra: 75,495
  5.  Toyota Tacoma: 72,847
  6.  Ford Ranger: 34,205
  7.  Jeep Gladiator: 29.962
  8.  Toyota Tundra: 24,731
  9.  Nissan Frontier: 15,613
  10.  Chevy Colorado: 14,775
  11.  Honda Ridgeline: 11,800
  12.  Nissan Titan: 10,312
  13.  GMC Canyon: 5,346
