The wait is over for the next-generation Nissan Leaf. Yes, this pioneering all-electric vehicle is finally getting a long-overdue overhaul. We're talking new looks, new tech, more range and faster charging, along with a number of firsts for the brand.
The all-new 2026 Leaf EV takes on a new SUV-like stance in its third-generation. Cool exterior features include motorized flush front door handles, a first on a Nissan production car. In back, a spoiler on the liftgate isn't just about looks, but about aerodynamic performance.
The new LEAF also ushers a bunch of Nissan-firsts, which include:
A range of firsts for the LEAF nameplate also include:
Inside, a roomy and airy cabin is full of new tech and features. Redesigned seats enhance second-row knee room. An available dimming panoramic roof is a segment first.
Its redesign also comes with a substantially increased driving range (up to 303-miles) and faster charging speeds. It recharged at compatible Level 3 DF Fast Charger from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes.
The 2026 Nissan LEAF will be assembled for the U.S. and Canada markets alongside the Nissan Ariya at Nissan’s Tochigi plant in Japan. We can expect it to arrive in CarPro Nissan dealerships in the fall.
