Mecum Auctions is back in the Lone Star State this week for Mecum Houston 2026! An estimated 1,000 vehicles, including five private collections, will cross the block at Houston's NRG Center from April 9-11. The sale will include a mix of rare classics muscle cars, and modern supercars.
This year’s headliner is a beauty! It's a rare factory M-Code 1962 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster and one of just four documented examples finished in Raven Black over red. Other headliners: a 1966 Dodge Hemi Coronet 500 - one of only 204 built with a 4-speed and a one of 836 produced 1954 Buick Skylark Convertible. The rarity doesn't end there. A 1968 Chevrolet Corvette L89 Convertible is one of just 624 equipped with the coveted aluminum-head engine package.

American muscle offerings are highlighted by a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda, a timeless 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback, a striking Flame Orange 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible and a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/Z28, complete with its original matching-numbers 302 CI V-8.
The Houston lineup also includes five private collections: The Tony Gullo Collection spans generations, from elegant prewar classics to modern high-performance machines. The Mike Flash Collection delivers a Chevrolet-focused roster headlined by Camaros and Corvettes. The Anthony Kelly Collection showcases top-tier performance, led by a pair of 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170s, alongside a 2022 Corvette C8.R, a 2014 Audi R8 V10 Spyder and a 2010 Dodge Viper SRT-10.
Corvette enthusiasts will have several notable options, including a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette convertible with a matching-numbers drivetrain and high-level restoration credentials. Vehicles of this caliber have historically performed well at Mecum’s Houston auction.
Later-model performance cars will also be represented. A 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SLP ZL585, producing 585 horsepower from a supercharged V-8, is expected to appeal to buyers looking for modern collectible muscle. In addition, a 1988 Porsche 930 Turbo Slant Nose is among the European sports cars expected to draw significant interest due to its rarity and distinctive styling.
