Mecum's 12th annual Dallas auction is one for the record books. The auction house reports that its 2022 Dallas auction achieved record sales of more than $55.2 million over the course of four days. A total of 1,191 vehicles cross the blocked from Sept. 7-10, for an 84% sell-through rate which amounted to a 50% increase over the auction’s previous record total of $36.8 million. Consignments were up 45% over last year’s Dallas event. Ticket sales were up, too, by 60%.

The ’06 GT was part of the auction-headlining Mile High Collection, which achieved total overall sales of more than $3.5 million as 100% of its 26 vehicles hammered sold.
Mopars also made the top 10 list. They included a rare, one-of-503 1969 Dodge Daytona that sold for $418,000 nabbing the fourth spot. A1970 Plymouth Superbird with 13,900 miles landing seat five hammer for $324,500.
From the prewar era: a 1935 Packard 1204 Victoria Custom Convertible sold for $319,000, which was followed by a 1993 Ferrari 512TR that brought $312,400 and a 2012 McLaren MP4-12C Gemballa GT that demanded a final sale price of $308,000
