Say hello to the all-new 2027 Kia Telluride! The three-row SUV- a hugely popular and long-time favorite SUV of Car Pro Show host Jerry Reynolds- made its anticipated second-generation debut this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
A huge hit since its introduction for the 2020 model year, Kia's flagship SUV is poised to continue its success in its second generation. Designers are bringing it all to the table in terms of bolder, boxier stylish looks, a more upscale and roomier cabin, tech and safety upgrades and more powerful lineup which features a new available turbo hybrid engine.
“With the launch of the second-generation Telluride, our design and product planning team had an incredible challenge: Develop an all-new SUV that was its own, unique product, while encapsulating many of the elements that made the original Telluride a historic success,” SeungKyu (Sean) Yoon, President and CEO of Kia North America and Kia America. “The 2027 Telluride is a capable and sophisticated SUV that embodies our approach to bringing innovative, consumer-focused products to market.”
The Telluride's standard 2.5-liter turbocharged powertrain delivers 274 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. Its available turbocharged hybrid powertrain delivers up to 329 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is available.

Add to all that the Telluride is equipped with Entertainment and Data Services, which supports streaming for Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube. It will also offer available Disney brand display themes. Available high-end features include a 14-speaker, 10-inch subwoofer Meridian premium stereo system and a 12-inch head-up display (HUD).

The new Telluride- which seats 7 or 8 depending on the seating configuration - is longer than the outgoing model, which nets the additional cargo and cabin space. Kia says there is more legroom for the 2nd and 3rd-rows. Kia also introduces a new second-row bench seat design that it says is intended to allow a variety of child seats to remain in place while accessing the third row.
