Classic Ford-powered collectibles on the docket include a factory F-code 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible that is one of 212 produced for the model year. The auction house says it underwent an extensive no-expense-spared, factory-correct restoration and is powered by a V8 with a special blower-only EDB heads and intake with Paxton/McCulloch belt-driven supercharger. Representing the final production year of Ford retractables, a 1959 Fairlane 500 Skyliner Retractable Hardtop received a professional rotisserie restoration and is a ACCA National Show-winner.

Low-mileage, classic Ford Mustangs crossing the block include a 1993 SVT Cobra with a V8, 5-speed manual transmission and 267 miles. Finished in a Vibrant Red clearcoat over an Opal Gray leather interior, it features electric front-seat lumbar adjustment, air conditioning, an AM/FM/CD stereo and Cobra floor mats, as well as power windows, mirrors and door locks. A 2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra 10th Anniversary coupe on the docket has 6 actual miles and is powered by a supercharged V8 with a 6-speed manual transmission and SVT performance suspension.

“The Blue Oval has produced some incredible cars and trucks over the years that have become coveted among collectors,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “From a custom 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 fastback (preview) powered by an upgraded 408ci stroker engine, to the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake 40th Anniversary Edition (preview) with 67 actual miles, you’ll find an incredible array of Ford-powered collectible vehicles at our Palm Beach Auction.”

Featuring a striking blend of Italian design and Ford performance, the 1986 De Tomaso Pantera GT5-S is one of approximately 181 GT5-S models built between 1985 and 1989, and one of approximately 38 U.S.-spec versions federalized and imported during that time. It retains its original serialized matching-numbers Cleveland V8 engine paired with a ZF 5-speed manual transmission. Finished in Rosso (red) with white graphics, black split bumpers, black moldings and quad exhaust tips, the interior features Nero leather interior with wood veneer dash and accents.

There will be no lack of Shelby edition Ford Mustangs at the auction. They include a 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake 40th Anniversary Edition with 67 actual miles that features the original GT500 Window Sticker and an armrest signed by Carroll Shelby. One of 1,011 produced by Shelby for the model year, a one-owner 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR is powered by a supercharged V8 with a 6-speed manual transmission and has 383 actual miles. Capable of producing 612 horsepower from the hand-built V8, a one-owner 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 has 550 actual miles and is No. 2,481 of 3,532 GT500 coupes built for 2010 and No. 253 of 360 in Sterling Gray Metallic.
