Chevy’s Terrific 2025 Holiday Commercial:  Memory Lane

Chevrolet is kicking off the holiday season with a new ad that continues its annual Holiday Card to America campaign. It's the fifth year for the holiday ad campaign, designed to capture the holiday spirit brought on by family tradition and togetherness. This year's story follows an empty-nester couple’s holiday tradition – the annual drive to the family cottage in their beloved 1987 Chevrolet Suburban.  It's told through the eyes of the person who helps bring family together and maintain our traditions: Mom.

You can watch this terrific video here:

“As a father of three adult boys, the holidays give us the opportunity to reconnect, and cherish the traditions that bring us together,” said Steve Majoros, Chief Marketing Officer, Chevrolet. “This year, our focus was to invite people to remember life’s most special moments with family, with its ups and downs, and to find joy in the journey.”

The storyline sees the empty-nesters taking a road trip with a now-empty back row. It triggers flashbacks of past journeys taken with their two children and the family dog filling the bench seat.

“We can’t wait to share this story with families across America, in a way only Chevy can. We are a brand that represents the faces of our country and we’re certain many will see themselves reflected in this story.”

Chevy Holiday Magic 5 City Stop

Chevrolet is also hitting the road this holiday season.  A caravan of Chevy Silverado EVs will bringing holiday cheer to communities and families in five cities across the country as part of its Chevy Holiday Magic holiday spectacular. The EV caravan will stop in San Diego, Dallas, Nashville and Atlanta - traveling a total of 2,987 miles.

The Silverado EV offers up to 494 miles of range, and its offboard power allows the flexibility to use the truck’s battery to provide all-electric power to truck's 11 outlets.

The Silverado EV will help light up events at each city, from lighting up a holiday tree and a surprise light show, to powering a festive atmosphere where families can enjoy s’mores over a fire along with hot cocoa, to the tune of holiday caroling by local choirs. Each event is presented in collaboration with local Chevrolet dealers.

Chevy will display its new holiday ad at each event on a cinema-style screen, and the automaker is even rolling out the vintage Suburban in the ad to each event. Of course, you'll be able to check out a current lineup of Chevy vehicles, too. Chevrolet says it will also be working with the Toys for Tots chapter in each city it visits to help spread holiday cheer to families in need.

I have to say, I think it will be very difficult to top Chevy’s 2024 video Christmas card.  If you missed that one, get a Kleenex and click here:
