I’m Laura Reynolds with CarPro.com.   Chevrolet Truck Marketing Director Michael MacPhee says the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD has more power, an enhanced interior and more technology. MacPhee: "So you're going to see here more horsepower,  more torque out of that Duramax diesel. So 470-horsepower, 975 pound-feet of torque. That's really important for our customers because of how we are delivering it.  We're doing it through a new turbocharger and what it's going to provide for drivers is 25% more low-end torque. That's really important when you're trailering when you're getting into that boat launch, when you're getting big loads behind you moving. So we couldn't be happier with that. And then the one piece of feedback our customers kept saying to us is that Allison 10-speed is absolutely incredible and we made the decision this year we're going to add that to the 6.6 liter gas engine as well. So gas or diesel you're going to get that same, amazing Allison transmission and that 10-speed is such a workhorse for us."
