I’m Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA.com. General Motors Senior manager of sustainable energy and vice chair of the Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance Rob Threlkeld talks about why GM has partnered with Shell to offer renewable energy charging hours. Threlkeld: "It's continuing the vision that I think both companies have going forward as well. GM is focused on zero emissions and being carbon neutral by 2040, you know Shell very similar.  You know goals as we think about the future and addressing climate change and so you really put two companies that are taking their strengths of what they do, Shell being kind of an energy company and they have a wholesale energy marketing arm and GM being the producer of all these great EVs that are going to be coming forward to the market, you know it's a matter of then how do we take these two strengths in ways that drive towards our goals in sustainability and that's really where you know we got together and discussed and looked at an opportunity to scale, in, in a large scale pilot it's always one thing to say hey we want to start off small , let's try to the whole state of Texas and see what we can do from there and learn from it."  For more information on these and other vehicles, check out CarProUSA.com.
