I’m Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA.com. Genpact Chief Digital Strategist Sanjay Srivastava says Formula E racing, a race using only electric vehicles, uses race data to improve the consumer EVs on the road today. Srivastava: "Actually if you look across the teams that will be racing in many of the seasons, you know, it's actually the same chassis, it's exactly the same battery. Many of the components are exactly identical, in fact the race is not about hardware. So many of car races, for instance you build a better car. Well that's not the case where the hardware is consistent. What's different is that the software improves over time and that's really what drives the differential components of a team. So it's all about data, it's all about analytics and it's all about artificial intelligence and of course we use that because we want to race to innovate new components, things that you and I will use eventually years down the road that we're inventing and innovating right now on the race track and then we use that to drive the message and sustainability.” For more information on these and other vehicles, check out CarProUSA.com. With Today’s Auto News, I’m Laura Reynolds.
