Chevrolet Suburban Hollywood Star Comes Home

I’m Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA. Chevrolet Suburban Communications Manager Shad Balch talks about how Hollywood honored the Suburban and its appearances in over 17 hundred films.  Balch: “We were in Texas to place the star that the Chevrolet Suburban won from Hollywood back in 2019, the star from the Walk of Fame, we placed it permanently in the ground outside our assembly plant in Arlington, Texas. All the world’s Tahoes and Suburbans are built in Arlington, Texas. So it just seemed fitting that we take this recognition, this amazing star and place it in the ground in Arlington, Texas. We had a red carpet. We had the backdrop so that all of us, the line workers at the plant could feel like a Hollywood celebrity and pose with the vehicle and the Mayor of Arlington was there and he graciously, he awarded us a key to the city and he proclaimed Monday June 21st as Suburban Day.” The Star has been placed permanently in the ground in Arlington, Texas where the Suburban is assembled.

Toyota Vehicle Marketing and Communications Manager for Tacoma and 4Runner Yash Shah talks about the 4Runner TRD Sport. Shah: “So now we’ve added some of the limited exterior features onto the TRD Sport so we’ll have a color-keyed front grille with a limited bar across it, we’ll have body side rockers and lower chrome moldings and color-keyed black roof rails. The most exciting new part is now we’ve added a hood scoop onto the front of the TRD Sport and we’ll have TRD Sport badging along the seat pillars so a lot of really new cool styling element to go along with it. No new colors as of yet but we’re also looking at new ways to innovate our color lineup just to tailor it more towards our customers. So on the inside we’ll have a black SofTex interior with a unique gray stitching, TRD Sport floor carpet mats and then a TRD embroidered headrest. So lots of TRD Sport throughout the inside that really make it pop out.”
