I’m Laura Reynolds with CarProUSA. Nissan designers and engineers are paying homage to the Nissan Z’s 50 year heritage with iconic design details from past models. Just released this past August, on the exterior of the 7th generation Z the side profile is a nod to the first generation with a familiar silhouette. The rear section sits lower than the front. And the long nose and short deck with sloping roof line all point to the very first Z produced. The silver roof accent was inspired by the shape and color of a samurai sword. The unique accent highlights the lower body section and emphasizes the side view silhouette especially when combined with a black roof. The sharp rectangular design of the new Z’s grille allows for more airflow to feed the twin-turbo V-6 engine and is referencing a shape similar to the original Z and the 350Z. The new Z’s grille is made up of elongated oval shapes that pay homage to the Z32’s tail lamps. For more information on these and other vehicles, check out CarProUSA.com.
