ATTENTION CAR CLUBS - COOLEST CLUB HANGOUT AWARD
Is your Club Tent the Place to Be?
The 2009 Carlisle All-Ford Nationals Coolest Club Hangout winner was the Yellow Mustang Registry. The Coolest Club award is based on the premise of the club tent being “THE PLACE” to be. The Yellow Mustang Registry put together a Hawaiian/Island theme, complete with a frozen daiquiri bar, yellow leis and yellow flamingos, that couldn’t be beat. Plan your theme and your decorations well for 2010 because there are a host of clubs vying for the honor.

ATTENTION CAR CLUBS – COMPETE TO SEE WHO IS THE LARGEST
Will Your Club Measure Up? Take the Club Challenge

ATTENTION “YOUNG GUNS”
If You Are 25 or Younger, Male or Female…
“Young Guns at Carlisle” is a class limited to owners age 25 and younger, male or female. It is open to all makes & models of FOMOCO produced vehicles (Ford, Lincoln, Mercury & Euro vehicles). You must be the registered owner of the vehicle. All “Young Guns” will be located together in an area reserved exclusively for them on the National Parts Depot sponsored Showfield, just like the Cougars, Mustangs and etc. Judging will be People’s Choice, just like the other classes. This is a great way for younger people in our hobby to meet and show off what they are doing with their cars. A time for the heirs of this sport to “Strut Their Stuff!”

Rookies and Veterans, Tune Up Your Drag Racing Knowledge
Drag Racing 101 is a seminar, held on Friday, for those interested in taking a trip down the 1320 (in this case 660). Racing takes place at the 1/8 mile, NHRA sanctioned track of nearby Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way. Conducting the seminars will be a collection of drag racing’s most notable stars. They will teach the tricks of the trade that they have perfected over the years. It all starts on the Carlisle Events fairgrounds with a “chalkboard” explanation of terms, tricks and techniques required to have a good drag racing experience. Learning how to be competitive, for more experienced drivers, will be covered as well. Who knows, you may take home a trophy as the next drag racing star.
